Calligraphy

Calligraphy is common throughout the Islamic world, and the traditional scripts used include Kufic, Shiksat, Thulth and Nastaliq, among many others. In the Levant, calligraphy is practised by artisans, artists and designers working in a variety of formats and mediums, who are working to keep this art form alive.
