The Future of Heritage, an exhibition put on by the British Council in London, celebrated the work of the Cultural Protection Fund and the projects it has supported in the Middle East and North Africa.

Displaying a range of artisan-made pieces, The Future of Heritage explored how the British Council's Cultural Protection Fund has created opportunities for sustainable development while protecting, recording, conserving, and restoring heritage at risk. Turquoise Mountain loaned a selection of unique pieces, including the hand-woven Afghan History Carpet and the intricate Jali Ball, for the exhibition during summer 2019. For more information on the Cultural Protection Fund and how it is preserving craft traditions, head to the British Council website.
