DOWNTOWN YANGON IS AT RISK FROM RAPID MODERNISATION

Turquoise Mountain successfully completed Myanmar’s first building conservation project undertaken to international standards in 2016, training hundreds in traditional building skills. We are now on site with a larger landmark regeneration project, turning a derelict heritage building into a publicly accessible,

government-owned asset for the people of Yangon. Turquoise Mountain is training over 1,000 people and has set precedents with the government, the property industry and the public as to how to preserve and use these heritage buildings.
