Cultural heritage survives only when it is passed on. As conflicts disrupt the transmission of knowledge, artisans also find themselves without support within their own workshops.

Turquoise Mountain provides a comprehensive training programme, offering Jordanians, Syrians, and other nationalities alike the opportunity to become the next generation of master woodworkers, goldsmiths and embroiderers. Our trainees also gain skills in design and business development through a programme that is integrated with our work to support artisans.

The training programme is connected to local actors, from independent masters to the National Vocational Training Corporation, and aims at creating a network of artisans, designers and artists, that can together rebuild the ecosystem essential to the protection of these traditional practices.
