Spurring the revival of artisan industries in Afghanistan, Myanmar and Jordan with Syrian refugees, Turquoise Mountain, in partnership with Pippa Small, promotes and supports traditional crafts. London Craft Week 2018 saw a series of events take place to celebrate this partnership.

Pippa Small and Turquoise Mountain celebrated ten years of collaboration in 2018. To commemorate this milestone, in addition to a number of new collections with Turquoise Mountain artisans in Afghanistan and Myanmar, Pippa Small and Turquoise Mountain co-hosted a series of events during London Craft Week 2018.

During London Craft Week, Pippa Small and Turquoise Mountain put on discussions, demonstrations and talks from designers, artisans and thought-leaders across a myriad of crafts including jewellery, woodwork, tailoring/fashion, illustration and calligraphy. From panel talks on 'Design for Development', to a talk and painting demonstration based on the idea of 'Art Overcoming Conflict', these events gave visitors the chance to see firsthand the work of Turquoise Mountain and Pippa Small's central role in promoting this work.
